Connections Overview
What a QUBIQ connection is, how connections are secured, pooled and monitored.
OPC-UA
Connect QUBIQ to an OPC-UA server — endpoints, security policies, certificate trust, browsing and node quarantine.
MQTT & Sparkplug B
Connect QUBIQ to an MQTT broker, in classic MQTT or Sparkplug B mode, including discovery and rebirth handling.
Modbus
Connect QUBIQ to Modbus TCP and RTU devices — framing, unit IDs, byte order and register addressing.
Siemens S7
Connect QUBIQ to Siemens S7-300/400 and S7-1200/1500 controllers over S7comm — rack and slot, the absolute address grammar, and a worked tag for every memory area.
Allen-Bradley (EtherNet/IP)
Connect QUBIQ to Rockwell Logix controllers over EtherNet/IP and CIP — browsing the symbol table, the tag reference grammar, arrays, UDT members and writes.
SNMP
Monitor network and facility infrastructure over SNMP v1/v2c/v3, including MIB uploads and trap reception.
TCP / UDP
Read from and write to devices that speak a raw byte or text protocol over TCP or UDP — scales, barcode readers, serial gateways.
SQL Databases
Connect QUBIQ to PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server and SQLite for queries, logging, named queries and the audit journal.
MongoDB
Connect QUBIQ to MongoDB for document reads and writes from pipelines, scripts and screens.
QuestDB
Connect QUBIQ to QuestDB — the store behind the historian — including the version requirement, ILP transport, ingestion tuning, rollups and retention.
Media Servers
Bring IP camera and video streams onto QUBIQ screens through a media-server connection.
Notification Providers
SMTP, Telegram and WhatsApp connections — the credentialed senders behind the notification pipeline nodes.
Vector Store (Qdrant)
The Qdrant connection behind the AI assistant's knowledge base — where uploaded documents are embedded and retrieved from.
