Debug

The pipeline equivalent of a print statement. Attach it to any output to see exactly what that node produced.

Type: debug · Category: Output · Ports: one input · no output

When to use it

  • While building anything — it is the fastest way to see a real payload
  • Confirming the shape of a message before writing the node that consumes it

Gotchas

  • Take it off high-rate branches before production. A Debug node on a subscription firing 50 times a second is doing 50 serialisations a second and pushing all of it to every open browser.
